MIVAS is reeds 55 jaar actief als maatwerkbedrijf in de verpakkingssector en verzorgt zowel klassieke verpakkingen als innovatieve alternatieven. De voorbije week is onze gloednieuwe flexibele wasstraat geïnstalleerd op onze vestiging in de Industriestraat in Lier. Hiermee willen wij, naast het behoud van onze activiteiten als co-packer, sterk inzetten op een omschakeling naar herbruikbare verpakkingen en recipiënten.

New in our range of packaging techniques is banding. With this technique, a minimum amount of plastic is used to bundle products. Of course, this also means a cost saving on packaging material.
A printed band means extra added value. All kinds of information can be communicated this way: brand name, product information, ingredients, promotional text, etc.
The more a product catches the eye, the quicker the customer will take it from the shelf!
MIVAS is fully committed to the circular economy in order to contribute positively to the necessary sustainability of production and consumption processes in terms of environmental impact. We want to do this by looking for new circular packaging systems for both the bio-cycle (bio-compostable materials) and the technical cycle (reuse, recycling and bio-based) in cooperation with various parties: customers, suppliers and scientists (University of Antwerp).
“Innovation” is the key word. For example, MIVAS has developed a new shrink machine that can shrink bio-compostable films. Something that was not possible before because of the impact of the heat of a conventional shrink tunnel on the material. We have a patent for this since April 2021.
